I'VE WATCHED: リトル・フォレスト Little Forest

I'VE WATCHED: Films Lately

I think I need to start making a masterlist of the Japanese films I've watched, similar to my Korean Drama list... soon, maybe. But then sometimes I feel the need to write more than just one paragraph about a movie I've watched. And besides, these are movies, so I find that a great deal of introspection (in relation to the film just watched) is necessary.

I loved anime, manga and Japanese entertainment ranging from Jpop, Jrock, and following celebreties on Ameba, since grade school. But I only explored live-action and movies recently. I think it's because of my interest in Kdrama and evolution from anime to live-action dramas that made me want to explore more.

But oh my, I watched anime series too this week. I might as well include those on this post.

The following paragraphs are filled with spoilers!

Bohol 2016

I just got back from my trip to Bohol! It was a pleasant one; not at all stressful, since the activities were spread out (too much for my liking to be honest, huhu it kind of dragged on) for some days. I just felt like writing about it now, because I missed writing, the sound of my laptop keyboard clacking, and it's raining lightly outside. It's good time to write, indeed.

I went with my family. Quick personal notes~~ My sister came back from the UK a week ago, and ever since then I've been spending time with her since. It's her first time to come back home here in the Philippines after two years, so I was pretty excited for her (even though admittedly she wasn't very much haha). We spent the first few days of her visit running around some of her errands, some of which involved going to her school all the way in Dasma, Cavite. I drove! Yes I'm pretty proud of that. We also went shopping around for some home-ware for her flat. Everything is on a budget, though.

Last year, we went to the US during my four month summer break, so that was how we spent time together as a family. So this year, my sister wanted to experience Philippines again. So what better way was to travel domestically and visit one of the renowned islands here in the Philippines... which was Bohol!

In a few words, I could say that Bohol is definitely beautiful. On our first day, we had the countryside tour, which consisted of the Chocolate Hills, Tarsier, Man-made Mahogany forest, Hanging Bridge, Loboc River, and Baclayon Church.

Bukal Falls in Laguna

Last week my friends and I went on a trip to see the waterfalls! Sadly though, the big falls wasn't there because it wasn't raining at all, and it didn't rain during the past few days. But then we found a different side of the falls; instead of the rushing and strong motions of the water, we were greeted by the calm and mystic mood that the falls brought about because it was a sunny day.

Monday Misadventure in 1335 Mabini

Okay so imagine this: waiting for the rain to stop with your good friend at a local bakeshop after eating lunch in the early afternoon. The rain was non-stop although it was not pouring so hard; it was a light drizzle that just didn't seem to stop. Then when 2 o'clock came, we headed out regardless if it was drizzling or not. I'm a woman of my words; if I say I'll do something, I will surely do it. It pains me not to. And so we headed out and went around the streets of Pedro Gil and Mabini, then chanced upon an old house filled with tribal art and antique furniture.

Booklat Event at 10a Alabama

Today I attended an art fair in 10a Alabama for the fundraiser for the Young Focus Library. It is a non-government organization which aims to help educate children who live around Smokey Mountain.

10a Alabama is open to arts and crafts events and is a home for restored furniture often with quirky designs. I definitely felt like I was in some kind of other planet or alternate universe which felt homey at the same time. It's a weird feeling.

I'VE WATCHED: Korean Drama and My Two Cents

I am convinced this is one of the best scenes ever forever haha! Well, I haven't seen any other that has outdone this one.

This post is my Korean Drama masterlist post wherein I give my ratings and some two cents about the drama. This also for me so I can keep track of what I watch. For the titles that don't have anything on it yet it means I have yet to watch/am planning to watch soon. These ratings are all personal, and will be rated over 5.

Retreat

This was taken on one of the days I was going to BPI Buendia Center from BPI Head Office in Ayala.

Speaking of breaks, I went to a retreat two weeks ago. It was required by the school and of course I want to be able to graduate, and so I went with my good friend J. The program itself was so-so, but I wanted to use this time to take a step back and reflect on the things that have been happening in my life.

Planner / diary / scrapbook

This is my planner! We're already on our fifth month of the year, too. It's amazing, how this year has unfolded and begun and now we're all here where we are right now. Photos are not in order.

Simply

5:00AM

Do you want to know why I love going to Catanduanes? It's because it has remained pure and untouched. People there live simply and humbly, it makes you think of all the complexity that goes on in the lives of people in the city and instead you look at the locals of the island and appreciate their way of living.
