2 0 1 8 : The Blog and The Life

I love sappy year-end entries, so chances are, I've probably read yours hehe. I read them in full, wherever it's posted on social media. In fact, I have a lot of thoughts running around my head these past few days as we prepare for the coming new year. I can say that the weather helped too, since it's been raining for the whole week now. It's the kind of cold weather that makes you want to do nothing and just sleep all day. But then it's also the kind of weather that gives you ample time to think and reflect, and that's just the way I like it.

Wearing Nature with Gilda's Story Accessories

This was the year I started wearing earrings more often. I personally think earrings are the best kind of accessories to wear because they're often the first thing people see as compared to rings and bracelets. Necklaces, yes, but people will always look at your face.

I was delighted to know about a new online shop my colleague from work introduced to us, which is called Gilda's Story. Their craft is to preserve nature by making them into wearable accessories, such as earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings, and the like.

What I Think About When I Think About Gifts

Giving gifts, receiving gifts. I love getting gifts, though I suck at giving them.

On Staying Awake Daily Even When I'd Rather Be Sleeping

December is probably the busiest month of the year, and most times I'm not able to get the sleep I think I deserve. And by this, I mean that I'm not able to listen to my body well enough to know that I need to maintain sufficient hours of sleep.

Tudor Revival Style in Stratford-Upon-Avon

I definitely felt the medieval vibes in this place, and much to my surprise, quite a bit festive too as we passed by the shops.

DIY: Paper Bag Gift Wrapping Guide

My love language is definitely not Gifts. But since I'm already part of the workforce, I figured it was high time for me to start giving back and blessing others, because it's something I wasn't capable of doing back when I was still a student and not yet earning money.

I'VE WATCHED: The Nutcracker Prince (1990)

There are times when I rewatch something I've watched years before then I'd ask myself: Why did I like this? But then it's different with The Nutcracker Prince. I think no matter how many times I watch this film, I'll always feel that same magic I felt just like when I first watched it.

Surviving Holiday Traffic

If you're a (highly frustrated) commuter like me, we might share the same sentiments with being stuck in traffic for prolonged periods of time.

On Being A December Baby

Celebrating my birthday on December is a weird feeling. Weird, but in a good way, promise.

Why A Small Christmas Tree is All You Need

I grew up with a big Christmas tree, and setting it up has always been a family bonding activity. But then as the years passed, my big sis grew older, and so did I. Eventually, she moved out of the country, I went to college and moved out of the house, and then now I'm back again in our house after graduating. The Christmas tree has become a lot smaller since.

Keeping Your Energy For All The Christmas Parties

It's the season again of gatherings and reunions. Whether it be an event at church, school, office, or at home with our families, they all seem to keep coming.

Reason For The Season

I'm joining Blogmas this year! The simplest way I can think of in describing Blogmas is that it's a blog series during Christmas season wherein people get to write about anything related to Christmas (or any topic, for that matter!) for a number of consecutive days. I'm choosing to post for 12 days straight. Hope you enjoy, dear reader. This is my gift to you.
